Take Action

1

Sign the DeFlock & Drone Safety Ballot Petition

We're collecting signatures to place a DeFlock and Drone Safety ordinance on Everett's 2026 ballot. This is an official ballot petition — by law it requires a wet, in-person signature from a registered Everett voter, so it can't be signed online.

Where: Corner of Hewitt Ave & Wetmore Ave, across from the Everett Farmers Market
When: Every Sunday, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Who can sign: Registered voters residing in Everett, WA

Full Signing Schedule

Additional signing locations and times, when scheduled, will appear here:

Bring a friend or neighbor who's also a registered Everett voter — every signature counts toward qualifying this measure for the ballot.

If you're a registered Everett voter, this is the single most impactful action you can take — more so than the online petition below, which only shows general support and doesn't count toward the ballot.

Sign the Online Petition

Add your name to show the Everett City Council that residents demand an end to the Flock contract. This online petition is a general show of support only — it does not count toward qualifying the ballot measure. Open to anyone, anywhere, and doesn't require in-person signing.

If you live in Everett and are a registered voter, this petition is in addition to, not instead of, the in-person ballot petition above — that's the one that actually moves the ordinance toward the 2026 ballot. Please sign both.

Share the petition with friends, family, and neighbors — including outside Everett. Word of mouth builds the movement.

Speak at City Council — In Person

Public comment is the most powerful way to make your voice heard. Council members are required to listen, and your statement becomes part of the official public record. Showing up in person carries particular weight.

Meeting Schedule: Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM
(4th and 5th Wednesdays of the month meet as 12:30 PM)

Meeting Location: Everett City Council Chambers
3002 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201

Tips for Effective Public Comment

  • Arrive early and fill out a public comment card at the entrance to the chambers.
  • You have 3 minutes — prepare and practice your statement in advance so you use the time well.
  • Share your personal story — why does mass surveillance in Everett concern you specifically?
  • Be specific and direct: "I am asking you to vote to cancel Everett's contract with Flock Safety."
  • A calm, respectful tone is most effective and gets taken seriously.
  • Bring a friend or neighbor — numbers in the room send a message on their own.

Participate Remotely via Zoom

Can't make it to the chambers in person? You can still give public comment from home using Zoom. Your voice matters no matter how you join.

How to Sign Up for Remote Comment Register online by 6:00 PM on the day of the meeting to receive a Zoom link and call-in number.

Visit everettwa.gov/Council-Meetings on meeting day to register.
  • Test your microphone and Zoom connection before meeting day.
  • Have your prepared comments ready — you still have 3 minutes.
  • Find a quiet space when your turn comes so your statement comes through clearly.
5

Submit Written Comments

Even if you can't attend a meeting, you can submit a written comment to the full city council. Written comments become part of the official public record and are reviewed by all council members.
